Dottie, our 1912 Mascotte 25 HP Touring Car. I purchased Dottie from Ozzie Blackburn's widow in June, 2005. Ozzie was one of the noted machinist geniuses employed by the aerospace industry in Southern California. He used his skills to help hundred's of old car nuts get their machines up and operating. When we rebuilt the rear end of our AB, Ozzie had the only lathe large enough to turn the two halves of the rear axle driving gear cases. Dottie is our driver. She has a Splitdorf SS dual ignition powering two plugs per cylinder with a spare Eiseman under the rear seat. Some time in the past an owner replaced the Maxwell carburetor with a Ford Model A Zenith. I have an original with its heating pipe and a Stromberg Bno3 that was used on the 1912 Specials, one of which I want to use instead of the Zenith. Dottie is also equipped with a "Briscoe" brake. I added turn signals after almost getting creamed by a blond in a Ford Expedition, talking on her cell phone and drinking a Starbucks concoction, while trying to change lanes.
